A platinum RTD with a resistance of 1000 ohms at 0�C.

It behaves similarly to a Pt100 but with a higher resistance.

The higher resistance can make cable resistance relatively less significant in some circuits and is common in HVAC and industrial electronics.

Use it where the controller or transmitter is designed for Pt1000 sensors.
