Hydrostatic level
Level measurement based on the pressure created by the height of liquid above the sensor.

More liquid height produces more pressure at the bottom.

For a known liquid density, hydrostatic pressure can be converted into level. Vented submersible probes compensate for atmospheric pressure.
Why would I use it?
Use it for tanks, wells, boreholes and water levels where a pressure probe can contact the liquid.
