Deadband
A range in which a controller or device deliberately makes no change.
IN ONE SENTENCE
Small movements inside the band are ignored to prevent unnecessary switching or hunting.
In normal English
Deadband is related to hysteresis but the exact meaning depends on the device and control strategy.
Why would I use it?
Use it when tiny changes should not cause constant control action.
